This Bachelor Shit Blows!!

All right I will say it again - This Bachelor Shit Blows!!

As most of you know I have been up here in CleavLand for a year yesterday (I think). Nothing wrong with North East Ohio (except winter gray days, snow and cold) other than that it is great. Renie went to our house in NC a few weeks ago - or was it months? I miss her like crazy! OK - bachin' it may be fun for a couple weeks - but that is all!
I don't want to get all sobby and mushy but - I am not cut out to be a bachelor especially after having a wife for the last 25 years who takes care of EVERYTHING so I can focus on work. I have posted a few blogs on meals that I have mastered ...... most of them on the grill - cause it man's work - arrrh arrrrh arrrh. Now its to cold so I bought a crock pot and cooked my first meal in it. As I came home from work and opened the door - the smell of a nice home cooked meal was wafting in the air of the apartment. It almost seemed like Renie was here cooking dinner for me. But, no - I sat and ate my meal by myself (PS Bouter thanks for the Chuck Steak in tomato sauce recipe)and it was delicious.
So call me a wuss, call me a puss - I don't care I'll smack you on your noggin next time I see yah.

Anyway I have two requests for anyone who stumbles upon this blog ........

#1 If you have a killer- easy-to-make man style Crock Pot recipe please send to jeffwhite541@yahoo.com Even if it is a girlie recipe, I don't care if it smells good when I come home and makes me think Renie is here I will love it!!!

#2 Renie get back up here! We have Sushi Rock in CleveLand!!

That's all I have to say about that!
In the interest of bipartisanship and reaching across the isle - before asking for a recipe I will share this one from Bouter.

Follow these instructions
Go get 3-4 lb. chuck roast (beef) and 15 oz can of tomato sauce.Pour half of sauce in bottom of slow cooker add a little H2O too and give it a stir.Put roast on top of sauce.Salt and Pepper roast.Pour remaining sauce on top of roast.Set Cooker to low.Wait 12 hours.Shred roast with forks.Eat.You can thank me later.

I also have made tacos with the leftovers or even omelots. I will throw anything in an omelot.

Uhhh...I would love to help a brother out but when it comes cooking, I'm no help at all.

You're suppose to be eating junk food and all that other crap your wifey won't let you eat while she's gone dude! Hit the ding-dongs and whoppers for a day. Make yourself sick and when she gets back you will appreciate her even more.

Hey, I have to give you a slap of approval for being man enough to admit your wuss factor here. It takes a real man to publicly recognize a woman for her contributions to his life. It's what makes us better men. 25 years! Awesome. Much respect.

It's nice to hear a man talk about how much he misses his wife.
I think I have a whole cookbook with crock pot recipies, I'll see if I can find a couple of good ones.

Not a crock pot recipe but SIMPLE. If you eat pork, here is a real simple recipe that will make you look like a kitchen guru. If you don't, stop reading now.
------------------------
One ham shoulder (pick your size by how much you wanna eat), preferrably bone in.

one browning over bag

one 1 liter coca-cola (do NOT use pepsi)

15-20 whole cloves (optional)
------------------------------
stick the whole cloves into the ham, evenly spaced. stick the ham in the oven bag. pour the coca-cola in the bag. Tie the bag shut. Place the bag in a metal pan. cut a small slit (vent) in the top of the bag.

Bake in the Oven at 325 degrees for 18 minutes per pound or until the ham is 160 degrees F on a meat thermometer.

enjoy!

-Peace

Awe...Boiled any eggs lately? Here is any easy one:

3-4 Frozen boneless chicken breasts
(If thawed add 1/2 cup water)
1 pkg of your Favorite Taco Seasoning.

Cook all day or 6 hours or so. Shredd with forks. Put on corn chips or in soft or hard taco shells with lettuce, tomatos sour cream, guac etc...and enjoy. The house will smell good when you get home...Love, Denise

We argue all the time and its been 20 for us! Congrats!!!!
