67th Sturgis Annual Black Hills Motor Classic (Part # 7)

I just received an e-mail from the Chip talking about Sturgis 2008, and it sort of started me thinking that I better finish up my Sturgis 2007 posts before the get too stale. 23 Days - 22 Hours - 15 Minutes - 15 Seconds till Sturgis 2008.
Here are a few more shots from the Bike Week in Sturgis last summer. Don't want to bore you all with all the photos but it's a great way for me to chronicle and capture with a little narrative the riding adventure, and that's what this blog is all about. So here they are:
1) On the Road to Sturgis - Stopping for some breakfast along the way

2) Buffalo Chip Campground - 2,000 miles
and of course the Full Throttle Saloon once again ..................

67th Annual Black Hills Motor Classic (Part 4)

Well here we are at the FULL THROTTLE SALOON,

worlds largest Biker Bar on Day 1 of the rally!!!!

While at the saloon .............................. a wet T-shirt contest broke out with

crowds forming instantly from all over the place.

Look at the cameras, everyone

had one, as if this was a press conference

of sorts with visiting dignitaries.

Well ..... I guess it was special gathering

of visiting dignitaries including the reigning

champ from the 66Th Annual Black Hills Motor Classic. I can't really remember who won for the 67th.

Overall the crowd was well behaived, the beer was cold and it was nice to relax after

about 2,000 miles and a half dozen states. We were resting and getting

ready for the rest of the rally with all the events that bring 300,000 - 400,000
motorcyclists to the small town of Sturgis South Dakota.

As an ex-smoker I was delighted to see the larger than life SMOKING IS MANDATORY AREA where tires are burned for the entertainment of all.
