28th Amendment - This is Great!!! Pass It on!!

An idea whose time has come.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come. Have each person contact a minimum of Twenty people on their Address list, in turn ask each of those to do likewise.. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ".

Can and Can Not

Found this quote on a site the other day and thought I would pass it on. Don't know who wrote it - but it is simple and true. Many of these things have been tried before throughout history and proven to be true.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.

You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

Ha Ha Ha Ha - I love this.

I know those of you who voted for Obama will not like this, especially as he starts to make decisions for the country's sake and not to be elected.
Sometimes "Circumstances" cause people to make decisions that are not always popular. I applaud Obama for making the right decision even though it appears that he is turning his back on his supporters. The center picture is a HOOT!!!!
....................................................
Remember - He even promised all those folks in Michigan that he would get their jobs back if Elected? Really? Did you buy That? Really?
..........................................
WoW, has it been that long since I Blogged? Really?

If charging my ipod will kill a Polar Bear - what will happen when I plug in my Electric Car?

Recent article from Wackos..........

Environmental alarms raised over consumer electronics
Charge your iPod, kill a polar bear?

PARIS —
Charge your iPod, kill a polar bear?
The choice might not be quite that stark, but an energy watchdog is alarmed about the threat to the environment from the soaring electricity needs of gadgets like MP3 players, mobile phones and flat screen TVs.
In a report Wednesday, the Paris-based International Energy Agency estimates new electronic gadgets will triple their energy consumption by 2030 to 1,700 terawatt hours, the equivalent of today's home electricity consumption of the United States and Japan combined.
The world would have to build around 200 new nuclear power plants just to power all the TVs, iPods, PCs and other home electronics expected to be plugged in by 2030, when the global electric bill to power them will rise to $200 billion a year, the IEA said.
Consumer electronics is "the fastest growing area and it's the area with the least amount of policies in place" to control energy efficiency, said Paul Waide, a senior policy analyst at the IEA.

I am so damn confused .... I don't know where to turn anymore.

A Billion

Think about it!
A Billion Here, A Billion There:

one billion seconds ago it was 1959,

one billion minutes ago Jesus was here,

one billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age,

one billion dollars was eight and one half hours ago the way Washington is spending it.
